Fill Me Up

Fill Me Up

I stop at the well
parched,
too week to lift my basket
i rest against it.
Just a drop
of hope renewed
to wake me from deep sleep.
I have gone grey
before my time
parched
near dust.
Here I know
no prince charming to wake me up.
I need no dare-devil
to shake me awake.
What I need is to be filled!
Filled with love, laughter and life.
I need you to pour into me
all the good around you that you see
touch, taste and feel.
Fill me up
so I will thirst no more.

You, Looking Back at You.

You, Looking Back at You

You
I see you.
I know what you did
what you believed was true:
"Thoughts become things"
"Your power is in your thoughts"
"thoughts create futures"
"see what you want".

You felt you needed
to live this new age
but they defeated you
left you enraged
when you could not create the page
to write your new name on.

So you drifted
saw everyone else who was gifted
with a purpose
and a way
they seemed okay
but you did not.

Take a good look now
now that you're back
look at you
accept you
and move on in peace.

So Much Love to Give

So Much Love to Give

She has so much love
to give to the world
stored up in her basket.
But the world refused it.
So she sent it down the stream
to protect it
from the evil inside of all a we.
She said "Momma River
take care of it,
and send it back whole".
So much love to give
to the whole damned world.

She divined the stars and moon
journeyed with the Sun
and fought many a mansoons
to find that love basket.
She even stopped at the dreaded Poison Ivy
to ask her the way.

Now she stands on the head of Goliath
silently,
calmly,
observing all before her to guide the way.

A New Dawn

A New Dawn

Tremulously
tentativly
cautiously
hope appears
beaten back by the lean years.

Unsupported by strong roots
it still shoots
strong in heart
a stubborn will
survival an unsung skill.

Hope marches on,
running
jumping
higher
refusing to die.

Final Thoughts

Final Thoughts

Any final words today?
Any way to beat this rain
as I go my way?
Do you have words of wisdom
after skimming off the scum
off your system?
Now that you see the light
lend me your shades
or does it fade
with time?
I will let you speak -
but one more question.

Was it worth it?

Forgive Me

Forgive Me

Forgive Me
for making you chase waterfalls
the wift of what could have been
the dust of my essences
as I float a drift
lost to you and you to me.

Forgive me
as I swerve
any which way
I have no say
I must bend to the wind.

Forgive me
for being sick
of the ugliness of life
for earth's sweet relief I will pray.

Forgive me
for the dim smile
I promise to come back
from my woeful lacking.

Forgive me
I will soon be
like the sea free to flow freely.

Dark Places

Dark Places

Those dark places
twisted spaces
that are wasteland
to make you understand
that you are strong
to go the distance
because you belong.

I love those dark places
cool, wet and moist land
fertile soil,
that holds the promise of possiblity.

Thanks for those dark places
that makes you dance and shout
when the sun comes out
and chases away those dark clouds.
The Sun,
that linger long after it becomes undone.
