No one is Good

God is good
but you are not.
No one is good
but God.
Everything is within God
and He places it in you
to do.
He shares
what was always His to share
and your efforts cannot compare.
To be good
you need to do what is right
but right is greater than good.
You labour 
but labour in vain
until you see the possibilities
that looked imposible.
Though in the net-
a web of deceit-
With Him,
you shall be plucked from your obscurity
into the reality
of your conspicuity.
But know thyself
enough to know
your good desires
came from a greater Source
that called to you
then came to you
then sent you
so He can use you.

Your Memories

Be careful what you do
or your memories could haunt you.
Don't listen to what they say - 
"never mind,mistakes can happen anyday".
Soon you may begin to think
one slip is not a big thing
until you're drowning
In the memories of your sins.
Then that mistake
born of ignorance
becomes your king
and decrees a life of suffering.

And you must work hard
toil and call upon the Lord
to provide you a peace offering 
that will soothe those memories
that threaten to do you in
and stick with you
when your skin is paper thin
and your bones need oiling.
So be careful that you do everything
to protect your memories
from being your jailer
that condemn and torture.

Be yeast
make things grow
expand and reach
all the dreams just out of reach.
Be yeast
unlimited
unrestrained
by the lifeless nature
of a dough life.
Be yeast
destined
to go everywhere
and grow whereever laid
to conquer.
Be yeast
and feast on the challenge
of beating the impossible odds.
Be yeast
and emerge
small and alert
into your mighty self
to make your mark on the earth.

Unforgiveness

Unforgiveness

Unforgiveness is a poison
it eats at the soul.
When it is finsihed with it
like acid it corrodes the spirit
it tears at your peace
and leaves its victim destitute.
It takes away your joy
and it will destroy
your choice to truly live.
It will lead you to demand
demean
disarm
until you are demented.
With it
you can only pick
the unsavoury fruit of bitterness
that drops to the ground and become
an untamed entangled web of a deathly forest.

You Decide

You Decide

You decide where the tide flows
what goes
and what's really for show.
You decide that you are not here
to scratch and scrape
just to be someone's slave
except God's.
You decide 
faith or fear
one must be killed
with the spear of defiance
and a lot of reliance 
on the One who is the I Am.
You decide
your voice
and the choice to do what's right
not what is good.
You decide 
life is worth death
to the theft of your joy
and the you they can never conceive.

A Word on Discouragement

Discouragement is dissatisfaction with the past, distaste for the present, and distrust of the future. It is ingratitudefor the blessings of yesterday, indifference to the opportuinities of todayand insecurity regarding strength for tomorrow. It is unawareness of the presence of beauty, unconcern for the needs of our fellowman, and unbelief in the promises of old. it is impatience with time, immaturity of thoughts, and impoliteness to God

A True Leader

There are many great minds
There are many great names
edged on many a graves.
Yet many were leaders
and many are coming on the quick.

Many strive to control
with a big beating stick
instead of a kind word
to defuse a situaion.

We must be right
in everyone's sight
and so we ignore
and close the door 
on the truth.

But is anyone really willing to listen
anyone willing to truly lead?
Anyone willing to provide the water
that will wash your students' feet
