Don’t Give Up

Just a message to all those who feel like giving up.

You have found yourself, it seems, in the same place time and time again. Now, you wonder what’s the point in sticking around and why not just give up. It may seem tempting to you, but after all your efforts have been tainted by indiscipline you don’t know how else to try. You have planned, written a list, journaled written a book even, trying to stay on the narrow lane, and you still keep falling off. Do not stop and sit in your distress. Do not quit. Maybe it used to be easier but you have lost so much practice, that you have forgotten how to quickly rise again. Don’t give up on the version of yourself that comes after the pain. The moment is fleeting, though you may say differently now. You will get past this even though right now, things seem insane. God is speaking to you, in the reassurance of others, listen. He stands with you when little pockets of miracles happen each day. The miracle of waking up, getting a kind word or a few things you knew you needed but could not source for yourself. There are miracles all around you, you don’t need to part a red sea, wake from the dead, or drink wine that was once water. Think of all the times you thought you wouldn’t make it and you did. When you felt like you were fighting an army of invisible enemies but still won. Think about all the mistakes you made but still got the right results. You were made to last. Not for a season but for all seasons. God made you that way.

Don’t give up you won’t fail. When the devil sees that you won’t give up no matter how many times you fall, he will leave you alone.
